Another Paco

You already know Paco, the university teacher. Now let me tell you about another Paco I hold in high esteem who, unfortunately, I never met.

Paco Martínez Soria was a popular comic actor in Spain until his death in 1982. He starred in many memorable films, which are still being shown on TV to this day.

The link below (I can't get the video player to work with this particular video) will take you to a funny clip from one of his films - Hay que Educar a Papá (We Have to Educate Dad) - in which Paco's character is trying to learn English.

Accents galore

You may have heard some well-known English accents from around the world: British, American, Australian, South African, etc. If you think those are too many, I've got news for you: there are a lot more!

Here's a funny video of 30 accents put on by a British guy. Although they are not meant to be taken as 100% correct and natural, they are very close to the real thing.

Needless to say, the more accents you become familiar with, the more people from different countries you'll be able to understand with ease.
