Hail the new generation!

Last 20th of February an event was held in New York to announce the future of Playstation. It was revealed that the PS4 would be released this holiday season. For more info on Sony's next-gen console, click here.

This news is like music to the ears of millions of gamers around the world. I am one of them. Now it's Microsoft's turn to reveal the successor to their Xbox 360 and hopefully bring out something amazing.

Nowadays, video games have reached such an impressive technical and artistic level that they look very much like movies. And the best thing is that you are the protagonist. You can solve a great mystery, become the greatest racer, fight in a war or see how it feels to be a gangster, to name just a few of the things you can do in a video game.

Video games will not only give you a lot of fun, they are also another way to improve your English by immersing yourself in the story. Add to that loads of dialogue as the characters interact with each other (don't buy the dubbed version) and you'll see that you're actually having the best of both worlds. Moreover, you can play with people from other countries online, which means you'll be speaking in English as you play. Your mother can't tell you anymore that you're wasting your time!

Here's looking forward to the next generation. I think I'd better start saving!

  2. I used to but now I'm not playing at all because I'm busy with other things (that's why I'm not posting much lately).

But I will buy the next-gen console by the end of this year!
