They do speak English!

Note: You will also hear some German at some point in the video.

my car's broken down  se me ha averiado el coche
I wondered if  me preguntaba si
a garage  un taller
that's wasted on me  no me he enterado de nada
I wish I had paid more attention  ojalá hubiera prestado más atención
a mile  una milla (1.609 metros)
a village  un pueblo
there might be somebody there  podría haber alguien allí
you never know  nunca se sabe
next time you're over  la próxima vez que vengas
so can I  yo también

How you ever been in a similar situation?
Yes
No

    1. It's common for someone from a foreign country to ask you for directions, especially in Spain

Some time ago, somebody asked me the way to our church in English!

  2. By the way, there's a mistake in the question above. It should say "Have", not "How".
